Sadly, you can. If you buy kids EVERYTHING they want they will love you more then the opposite parent! Kids think if you buy them more things you love them more. They will give you a hug and say "thank you"! I know from personal experience kids will give you lots of affection if you buy them something! If you say no the 1st time, they will ask again and if you say yes, they will be so excited and will say, "I love you and thank you mommy/daddy!"

Of course these are just kids. If your child is very spoiled and wants something every time you go to the store and can't afford it then ask the other parent if you may borrow money. This way your child will not feel unloved. If your child is very spoiled, sit down and have a talk with them about the importance of you having enough money to buy them food.

Kids just want every toy they see, so what parent buys them every toy they want will be their hero. When they get the toy they have been wanting, they will be so happy they will give you affection to show how much they love you. Some kids are grateful but some kids may not be.

Kids just love toys they don't care what parent gets it for them as long as they get their toy! Some kids just ask and ask for toys. Even if you want their affection don't give in, this shows the kids they get whatever they want! The kids then think they are in power and get out of control. The kids then have bad, uncontrollable behavior when they do not get what they want. This has happened to many people; the kids begin to have uncontrollable behavior and the parents lose power.

Buying your child a toy every once in a while to get affection is good. Sadly the answer is yes, you can almost always buy your child's affection with expensive gifts! What kid do you know that when he/she gets a gift did not hug/kiss the parent that got it for them? Buy your kids gifts and see if you get a hug/kiss. I guarantee this is a way to get your son/daughters affection. Even if you buy your teenage daughter a ring she will give you a giant hug! This is just one way to get your child's affection. Hope this helped.
