The power went out,
In this harsh, dreary storm.
The darkness suffocates me.
The walls are closing in.
There is no light,
In the tunnel at the end.
Fake smiles,
Weave in and out,
Of my twisted mind.
The voice teases me,
It laughs and cries,
Burns and bites.
I am trapped alone,
Solitude is my friend.
Tick tock goes the clock,
Drip drop goes the rain.
Time is too slow,
Life is too fast.
Both will surely drive me insane.
