Poetry: For his love

by Crystal Patterson

Created on: June 26, 2010

For his love the price I'd pay.

I'd give up my name, riches, or fame.

My last breath would whisper his name.

The last drop of water in the desert I'd bring to his lips.

I'd carry him up from the battlefield.

I would sing songs of love, until my voice at last  I lost.

His children I would proudly bear to honor his name.

His body would I worship for all of my life.

My every first thought would be of him.

All that I had I'd lay before his feet and I'd make him my king.

All for him.
