Are there equal rights in today's society? This could be debated over and over again and we would still not have an answer. People do not treat eachother equally, and it will be a long time until they do.
Affirmative action is one of the policies that contributes to the ever existing prejudice that covers the world. It is intended to give a better opportunity to those people who would be discriminated against if schools and workplaces were left unwatched. In reality this policy is a form of prejudice in itself. Picking a minority because they are a minority is a violation of human rights. The fact that they are a minority does not better qualify them.
There are no further legal solutions to equal rights. The fight for equality is now in the education of our children. Prejudice will be one of humanity's greatest obstacles to overcome. Only a fool would expect it overnight.
