Ni Hao! Arigato gozaimasu! Aloha! Mabuhay! Como estas? Guten Morgen! Marhay na banggi! Thank you! These are a few basic words I've picked up from enjoying the pleasures of travelling, both in the real physical world and from cyberspace international friends as well.
Once the travel bug bit me, my feet has been itching to keep on going. I venture out to more places I could cover. Tiresome, but I like going out and about in finding more ways I could tread upon. If I can afford it every now and then, sure, why not? Everything becomes a once-in-a-lifetime event so might as well go, go, go! Truly, it is a privilege of enjoying the pleasures in life. This is something that I found to be of my great liking and love sharing.
There are many joys brought about from travelling. It opens up one's small world to a bigger one, more than we could imagine. From seeing daily cramped up city streets, to very wide highway roads in China, to left-driving in Australia, to beautiful mountains, breezy and refreshing ocean scene, to new shopping experience of self-check-out counters, to being surprised in seeing people used to cold weather they dress up like it's summertime, to breath taking Mother Nature at its best - the adventures are limitless!
I love opening up my eyes to whole new places. For voyagers, we breathe in what each lovely country, or city, or rural/provincial areas, all have to offer. We discover many treasures uniquely found in them. We encounter different folks from different walks in life. We savor the tasty delights that we try out in every town, learning more recipes along the way. We explore high technology gadgets that haven't landed in our own shores, but are being introduced in others ahead of time.
I bring home a little souvenir from a long flight, or even a short one, or from road trips. I like keychains, or landmark's t-shirts, even a simple ballpen or pencil, a notepad, also a shopping bag, anything that's a good remembrance from where I've been to cherish the memories.
Knowledge and learning and loving is much gained from journeys in life. We get to know more about things that we didn't know existed before. It is a continuous learning of enriching our experiences. Living, even for a while, out of one's comfort zone, gives you the sense of going out on your own. A time for discovery and exploration. A good way of bonding with dear ones and reconnecting ties with far-away family and friends. Loving the beautiful life that we have. Embracing what paths are laid out before us. These are all the precious travel gems we unravel.
