Toxic Man
Under your shiny false front
shadows seethe.
takes my breath away
at the immense degrading violence inside you.
They only see the scrubbed surface,
the innocent babyish face,
but to me you look too clean
like you've just washed the blood off,
and your feigned naivety,
makes me say
your Jedi mind trick will not work on me;
I can see you like to cause pain.
You touched my shoulder and smiled at me
and I danced with you for a long time,
wondering when the rapacious malignant person
you really are
would surface,
wondering how I would defend against the storm.
You spin a web of lies
and repeat them constantly so you can keep them all
straight,
but your words are so hollow,
and I wonder how you manage to say anything
at all
when you have such a bad grasp of the basics.
You paint yourself
as sweet helpless
blameless
but you wound at every opportunity,
beserking from out of the blue.
Those baby blue eyes of yours
hold nothing but anger and hatred and abuse.
I wonder how many more will fall
for your false crumbling charm
before one of them stands up to you
to stop you in your tracks.
...I wonder, will she carry the scars on her soul
like I do.
