Windows
Out each and every window I see
People with lives better than me
They go along about their day
And all I can ever do is pray
Within this place I am not free
All my cries fall as a silent plea
To leave this place is all I want
The possibilities out there do all but taunt
Surrounded by others I am alone
Their mingled voices meld into a drone
Others don't understand that I am a slave
In mind, body and soul it is freedom crave
All doors are locked as far as I see
But this window is open, could it set me free?
