Instant Messengers are a good way of keeping communication open with particular groups of people. It is also an important tool used in offices and companies. Although, using it the wrong way will create a bad impact and might change it's reputation from being a useful tool to being a useless piece of software.
When we talk about jobs and companies, Instant Messenger can also be essential, although not all companies and workplaces implement this. It can be used to instantly connect or communicate to people from different departments without the use of telephone which causes noise in the office. Using Instant Messenger is considered more handy than using a telephone.
When asking teenagers, they consider it a fun way to get in touch with their friends. It's also another way to stalk unknown people or to get to know more about people who also spend time online.
Now with the latest technology, they can even use instant messengers on mobile phones which makes it more accessible for people to use at all times.
With these few reasons, Instant Messenger surely is a good thing. Although, if we look at the other side, it provides bad impact to children.
When you're parenting an adolescent and you let them use Instant Messenger, chances are, they get influenced by who they are talking with. It's possible that they get to know people from their class and start having fun on instant messenger which causes them to get into either bad or good things. This isn't really good news for parents.
You won't risk your child's attitude for just an instant messenger no matter how useful a tool it is.
Instant Messengers like online chat rooms may lead a child to wrong doings. This is one way of communicating data the easy way and that data could either be good or bad.
Another way of using Instant Messenger that actually provides benefits is its being a communication tool for education. Take for example, online classes, online customer service support. Those are two of the most common examples of using Instant Messenger the beneficial way.
It's a good thing when you use Instant Messenger for online classes. It provides mobility and can be accessed anytime, anywhere. This is perfect for people living busy lives in like those in New York. If you wanna go to school and at the same time, work, then consider online classes. Thanks to Instant Messengers.
Another good thing developed with Instant Messenger was Online Customer Service. Ever tried online shopping? They provide online support as well. It's not always easy to call their number and wait on the line for like more than 10 minutes. You'd rather leave them a message through Instant Messenger and do your chores at the same time. It's easier for some, but there's always an option for phone support, though.
So these are some of the most common benefits which make Instant Messenger a good thing.
