Healthy snacks that fit into a busy work-from-home schedule

If you work from home, you might like to always have a snack nearby.  If you are always eating unhealthy food, this can play havoc with your health, diet and waistline.  Fortunately, there are many healthy snacks that can fit into a busy schedule, including the following.

Fruits

Fruits can be very healthy for you and delicious as well.  They are also easy and quick to fix and great to eat even while working.  You can get a delicious bunch of grapes if you have a sweet tooth.  Simply wash them and they are ready to pluck from the vine as you work.  You can also get an apple, which has a lot of health benefits.  You can eat a delicious banana.  Also, it takes very little time to cut up a cantaloupe or watermelon that you can place by your desk and eat.  There are many other fruits that you can enjoy as well.  You can consider some dried fruits such as raisins.  Be careful with those, however, because some of them do have added sugar, which can make them not as healthy.

Yogurt

Yogurt can be healthy, delicious and easy to eat while you are working.  You can quickly eat it from a cup or you can get a brand such as Go-gurt, which comes in tubes.  You can get all-natural or organic yogurt.  They make some that are low fat or those that are lower in sugar.  They have many different delicious flavors and some of them will even taste like dessert such as a cheesecake flavor.

Vegetables

There are many vegetables that can be easy to eat while you are working busily at home.  Try some carrot or celery sticks.  You can munch on sweet little grape tomatoes (which are actually fruits).  You can eat a cucumber.  You can also make yourself a little plate with broccoli, celery and other vegetables.  To make it a little tastier you can melt a little low-fat cheese on it or get a healthy dip to eat with it. 

Whole grain foods

There are many other snacks that are made from whole grains that might be good.  You could have some whole wheat toast or whole wheat matzos for instance.  They make other types of chips that are good (although carefully look at the nutritional information to find which is good).  Popcorn that is cooked in air and without added butter and salt is also very healthy.

There are many healthy snacks that can fit into a busy work from home schedule.  Try the above ideas when planning your menu.
