Using the Internet can allow you to advertise, promote, and market your business or website in a cost-effective manner. In fact, much of what you are able to use to market on the Internet is free. Moreover, free Internet advertising, promotion and marketing can allow you to focus on the creative side of your business. You do not have to be a technical genius to use the Internet to drive your business to a new worldwide customer market.
Use a keyword in your web page title. Go to the properties editor page, on your website’s builder and click on the Meta tags section to put keywords relating to your business in your web page description and web page keyword section. Put a keyword relating to your business in the body of your first paragraph on your web page. Keywords prepare your web pages for higher search engine rankings.
Submit your website to a well-known free directory, like Dmoz: The Open Directory Project, which may help your website get higher search engine rankings. Follow the instructions to get your website listed in the directory. Submit your website to a trade organization directory, like the Internet Marketing Association: The Industry Trade Organization, which may focus on the same type of business you have.
Write articles about your business and submit to article directories, like Article Base and Article Factory, for other people to use on their websites and in their newsletters. Use free article submitters and spinners that will give you a variation of the same article to submit to multiple article directories. Check each spin article, before submitting, for correct spelling and clarity. Write and submit press releases about your business to a free Internet press release service, like PRLog. Ask your website visitors to bookmark your website.
Go to your website’s builder to set up a business commenting blog on your website to write regular comments about your business and to receive comments from others. Join a free Internet social media website, like Facebook, to share information and comments about your business. Join a free Internet social book-marking website, like Digg, to share information about your website, your articles, and your press releases, which may help you to advertise, promote, and market your website business.
It is important to listen to and comment on what others have to say and offer, while on the social networking websites.
