Theories of evil

I find our misunderstanding evil as those things we don't like and good being those things we do humorous. Good is everything that is pure. Evil is everything that is tainted.  Good is everything that is positive. Evil is everything that is negative. In the spiritual world, it may not be this way.

We've pitted good and evil as two opposite extremes. But, I believe we are finding out that they are not so extreme. They might actually be closer to each other than they seem.

The Yin and the Yang are two opposite forces that are dependent on each other. Karma and Vipaka are the action and the reaction, two opposite motions. One is dependent on the other. Khair O Shurr is the Islamic expression of Good and Evil. But also in the Muslim faith is something else that seems opposite. Jabr O Qadr is Freewill and Predestination, whether you are free or not free at all but bound by destiny.

When we study these concepts, we learn that good and evil are only two sides of the same coin. Evil may simply be consequences for our actions. Our actions being a cumulative understanding that a person can be good through and through and still suffer evil because of the rest of humanity. We have no control over what others do and therefore, we must endure consequences because of the actions of others.

Evil does not necessarily even have to be bad, or an extreme from good. It can merely be the taste of trial and tribulation so that good is more attractive. We are willing to be good because we've tasted of evil.

Evil then becomes a good thing. It brings us to an understanding of ourselves and our world around us. If we are to apply the principle and say that created within us is a freewill and we understand that we have the ability to do evil with it, therefore evil is a part of creation.  We then apply that same principle to the fact that out of evil comes good, therefore evil can be good. Evil is merely the other side of a coin.

All of life is an illusion. Spirituality then seems less illusive. Death becomes a stage of life. The earthly consequences are not carried over into an afterlife. Suffering is a part of life’s teachings. Pleasure is merely a cool rain on a hot day.

Good cannot exist without Evil. Good would not even be understood without the existence of Evil.  But, that's a very hard concept for most people to get. Hell, Satan doesn't even understand that one…and he knows God.
