Teens, puppy love, and riff raff. My opinion is that it is all garbage. At young ages, being in love is just like saying their hormones are going crazy. I had girlfriends as a teen that I was in "love" with. Yeah, because they would make out with me, and I even had the chance to score! It's not love, it's excitement.
I can't believe some people claim to remember what it was like to be a teen, because they don't remember that teens want to do "adult things". Not just sexually, I mean all the fun stuff it looks like adults have. Choices, work, no curfews, love relationships etc. As far as commitment? There are few teen relationships that really have any. Why? Because they are kids. They don't understand the work behind being in a loving relationship. They also don't understand how everything isn't always as "care-free" as they would like it to be.
So next time you say "Oh, it's so cute, Johnny's in love", stop and remind the poor son of a woman that his body is changing. He has a ton of horomones, and he is going to "love" a lot of girls. It is entirely natural, and he will understand one day.
