Popular 2010 Prom hairstyles for medium hair

There are a lot of popular prom hairstyles for 2010.  If you have medium length hair, then try the following styles.

French Twist

A lot of girls like to wear their hair in a fancy French twist for prom.  This can be very elegant and it often works well with medium length hair.  There are different ways that this can be done.  You can just make a simple twist or add to it an elegant comb.  You can buy a hair piece specifically made to put hair in French twists.  They make some that have Swarovski crystals in them.  Also, some people will let soft tendrils of hair escape to give it a softer look.  There are also little crystal clips that you can scatter into your hair as well.

Crystal headband

If you want something easy that you can do without needing to go to the hair stylist, then you can purchase a very fancy head band.  They sell some that have crystals all over them.  Some are a single band whereas others have double or triple bands.  Also, some of the headbands have different designs in them such as butterflies or flowers.  Instead of crystal band they also have some that have embroidered flowers and other fancy elements.

Half-updo

Some girls like to wear half-updos for prom if they have medium length hair.  There are many such designs.  You might want to have a small ponytail at the top of your head.  You can have it secured with some sort of fancy clip instead of the casual scrunchi you might use on other days.  Also, you can place fancy combs in your hair.  You can place them on one side of your head or both.  A lot of girls might also like to do something very pretty with braids.  You could have a braided bun in your hair.  You could make braids on the sides and have them meet in the back of your head with some sort of fancy clip.  You could have a French braid or a more unusual braid such as a rope braid.

A lot of girls with straight hair will choose to get their hair curled for the prom.  You could use curlers or a curling iron yourself or get it done at the beauticians.  This would look good with a lot of the above hairdos such as a half-updo of a small ponytail.

With medium length hair, there will be many beautiful styles that you can choose for prom.  Of course, many girls just like to wear it loose and natural.  The previous styles are some of the most popular ones seen in 2010.
