I have heard of stories where mothers have stated that they didn’t know they were pregnant until they actually have had the baby. I’m sorry ladies, but I don’t think that there is any way this can be possible. I have been pregnant twice and have to say that there are some signs of pregnancy you just can’t ignore.

*KICKING

How can you ignore the baby kicking you nonstop? Both my kids would kick me every minute of every day unless they were sleeping. As the months went on, they would put their feet up in my ribs, which was horribly uncomfortable. If I didn’t know I was pregnant, I would sure be going to a Dr. to get checked out.

*Alien Belly

There is the phenomenon known as alien belly. Where, you can actually see your child moving around. I remember with my daughter, I think I actually saw an outline of her foot once. Again, if I didn’t know I was pregnant, I would be running to the hospital after seeing that!

*Weight Gain

There is something to be said about gaining 25+ pounds in 9 months. Your growing belly should be an obvious sign that something is going on with your body. It’s not as if your belly looks like a normal belly gaining weight. A pregnant belly and a weight gain belly look completely different. Not to mention how tight and hard your belly gets during your pregnancy. Not normal!

I believe that woman can be terrified when they find out they are pregnant or even think that it’s a possibility. I think that these women convince themselves that they aren’t pregnant in order to deal with what is going on in their lives. Is there anything wrong with this? Absolutely not! But I also believe that this is how you get the stories of not knowing about the pregnancies. I think they are too scared to admit to themselves what is going on and so their mind is tricked into believing that they aren’t pregnant. There are stories of the opposite being true. People want to be pregnant so badly that they trick their minds and bodies into thinking that they are pregnant and sure enough, they start showing all the symptoms. Your mind is a powerful tool and I fully believe that this is how we get the, “I didn’t know I was pregnant.”
