28 M&M Diet Tips
“You have to walk the length of a football field and back to burn the calories in one M&M,” she said in her presentation at a Take Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS) meeting to emphasize the damage done by a few empty calories.
The M&M Diet is born of that statement. The premise is to not eat that one empty calorie M&M in the first place. If you are use to eating dessert after a meal, a big bag of chips and a piece of pie before bed, think about the calories. A slice of Boston cream pie has two hundred ninety calories; a one-ounce bag of chips one hundred fifty and a piece of pecan pie five hundred. Not eating dessert, a bag of potatoes or a nighttime snack saves how many calories?
What about meals? Beef averages two hundred fifty calories per three-ounce serving, the size of the palm of your hand. If you are use to eating nine ounces, the size the palms of both hands put together, then cutting to serving size saves five hundred calories. How many calories does eating portion sizes save? A pound of body fat is approximately thirty-five hundred calories. If you decrease your daily food intake by five hundred calories and exercise ten minutes per day, more than likely you will lose one pound in a week.
The M&M Diet is eliminating empty junk calories and cutting what you eat to serving size.
