Mindful Meditation and the Law of Attraction should go hand in hand. Although you do not have to meditate for the Law of Attraction to work, it can be very beneficial. Meditation like many other things has gotten a bad rap in the recent past. It got all rolled up in the "New Age" ball of wax. So most people won't even attempt it. God tells us in the Old Testament to meditate. Jesus tells us in the New Testament to meditate. If it were not beneficial, why would we be told to do it.
The simple truth is: Meditation is not new age, it has been around for centuries. It is simply a means of quieting the mind, centering the self, and changing your mental position. In todays world, we are so busy working, taking care of our families and running from place to place, we never take the time to stop and center ourselves. We have so much to do, we don't focus on what we are currently doing, we are thinking of what we have to do next. We do not give our full attention to any one thing. If we can forget everything else and calmly focus on one thing at a time, we are so much more productive.
The Law of attraction works on the premise that you draw to yourselves the thing that you need or think of the most. If you think you are broke, you are going to continue to be broke. If you think you are sick, you are going to continue to be sick. If you are in a bad relationship, it is going to continue to be bad. When you finally tell yourself you deserve better, you will get better. You can have or do anything once you believe that you can and do deserve it, it just takes a mental shift.
Therefore meditate to clear the mind, quiet the mind and prepare the mind. Sit up straight, lengthen and straighten the spine, engage your abdominal muscles, close your eyes, take a deep breath, now do a mental mind dump. As you exhale, let go of any negative thought or emotion that you are dealing with at this moment. Take another deep breath and exhale all negative comments spoken to you today. Do this for two or three breaths. Next begin to relax each part of your body. Take a deep breath and as you exhale tell yourself that all tension is leaving your body. Once you have completely let go of all negative, and relaxed your body, it is time for meditation. You can meditate on scripture, positive affirmations, or you can open your mind to universal mind. As long as you are not trying to solve any problems, you are pretty much open here. Give yourself at least 15 minutes to begin with. You may find that you can meditate longer, if so give yourself liberty to do so.
If you have a need, or a problem you are trying to solve, say it out loud. Then allow your subconscious time to work. Just as it knows how much oxygen to send to the various parts of your body, it knows just what is necessary to solve your problem. It works best when there are no distractions such as worry and negativity. So state your problem, but don't try to fix it. After meditation, don't be surprised if the solution to your problem just comes to you suddenly. That is the Law of Attraction in operation.
