Poetry: I'm lost

by Kimberly Wells

Created on: June 22, 2010

The sun still shines each morning.

Although her eyes can't see.

Keep the past in yesterday.

Would allow her to be free

Living life with tear filled eyes.

Because she lived it wrong.

Living life so full of fear.

How could her soul be strong?

Regrets of loving little.

Letting the one she treasured most.

Slip right through her wounded hands.

Through life now she just coasts.

Others make her choices.

Her simple fear based life.

Crumbling neath' the pressure.

Her self made painful strife.

She settles for the emptiness.

Many painful tears she's shed.

Alone and slowly dying.

Empty thoughts roam through her head.

Giving up's the answer.

Life's run it's ragged course.

A lost cause is her life today.

Pain, agony and remorse.
