I am a poet-can't help it
The words play songs in my head
And need to be brought to the canvas
To paint a mosaic by lead.
My pencil hits white and expresses
A world that has color and hue
Some dark and disturbing ;some light and alluring
A kaleidoscope picture to view.
I am a poet-can't help it
The imagery dances in rhyme
My heart is laid bare to make others aware
Of the acts that play out in my mind.

I tell the fine tale of the wife
Some stories are bleak and others unique
I landscape the story of Life.
I am a poet-can't help it.
