Making money online can seem quite difficult at first.  If you're looking into starting an online business, then you need to make sure you are prepared and understand that you have to work.  Nothing is free and nothing comes to those that believe they don't have to work.  The first step that anyone who is looking to make money online is to "take action".

Take action.  It seems that most new online entrepreneurs fail to take action.  They believe that just wanting to make money online is all they have to do.  The issues arise when they start to put more into the project then they are getting out.  This is where the majority of online businesses fail.  They fail to "take action". 

When you start out with your new venture.  It can be anything from blogging, writing articles, web design, and any other talent that you may have, you have to take the first step.  You have to start putting something into it, in order to get something out.  Plan on spending at least a few hours a day (each day) building your online presence. 

Before you start making online money you need to know a few things. You should learn how to market yourself.  I am sure that you have heard of Internet marketing, but do you know how to start.  You don't need a product to market, you need to market yourself.  You need to get people to know who you are and become known in your niche as an expert.  This is the part that takes the longest.  You can not expect to be considered an expert in anything until someone else labels you as one. 

How to become an expert.  Becoming and expert will take time. You need to start out by giving information to people.  Give them what they want.  People have problems, you need to show them the solution.  Once someone reads your solution to their problem, they will let their friends know.  So on and so forth.  In just a few weeks you will be an expert.

So, to make any amount of money online you need to build web presence, become an expert in your niche, and give people information.  After you complete these tasks you can start building your reputation and start making money.  Along the way you can make some quick money online by selling your talent.
