It is not about me
I would say.
It is about him
and what he has to say.
It is in The Little Black Book,
sometimes in red,
read what he says.
It is not about me
I would say.
I do not love everyone I see,
but he does, and he will not flee.
It is not about me
I would say.
I cannot provide for everyone I see,
but he does, and you never have to plead.
It is not about me

I cannot heal anyone I see.
but he can, if you get down on your knees.
It is not about me,

I cannot love, provide, or heal,
for anyone or everyone I see.
But he does,
along with all other needs.

by Jana Burgess

It is about him
and what he has to say.
It is in The Little Black Book,
sometimes in red,
