When it comes to summer there is no better time of year to get out and enjoy the weather that Mother Nature provides us. There are so many things to do outside that you could reasonably choose a different activity each day and not have to repeat yourself. Each year, as school lets out and hundreds of families pour out onto their local beaches and parks, people find an abundance of ways to have a lot of fun. But enjoying the outdoors should not come without caution or proper planning. As bountiful as the sun is in providing us with the necessities of life it can also lead to a lot of damage if we aren’t careful. That’s why it’s always important never to take the sun for granted and take measured steps to keep yourself safe when possible.
If you are a fan of going to the beach you should always wear a good sun screen to keep your skin from burning. A sun burn can be quite serious if it’s severe, and it can really affect the way you feel overall. Some symptoms of serious sunburn include nausea and headaches while feeling like you’ve been cooked in an oven. In most cases covering up will keep you protected but you also have to remember about other times that you may be outside. For this reason you should keep your skin protected with loose fitting clothing in addition to wearing a hat and sunglasses. Each year, thousands of people damage their eyes when they are outside due to direct sunlight exposure or the powerful affects of glare from water bodies.
The sun can also have a tremendous impact on the way your skin feels and looks. Many people find themselves developing acne in the summer because oil production may be more pronounced. If you exercise during the summer, it’s important to wear good clothing that doesn’t aggravate the skin while making sure to wash properly afterwards. Working out is always a good thing but if you let your sweat dry then it can lead to clogging of the pores and acne breakouts. When it comes to how to get rid of acne in the summer, don’t rely on tanning to “burn off” excess oil or the acne itself. You should always take care with an oil-free sunscreen that moisturizes and doesn’t lead to things like moles or blackheads. Prolonged exposure can definitely lead to the immediate problem of acne, and further down the line it can cause wrinkles and sun-damaged skin.
Whenever you are outside in the summer for a long period of time, you should always make sure to have a good water supply. You could go the route of drinking sports drinks to keep you hydrated but they can be full of calories and sugar. So the best choice is always pure water as it is exactly what the skin needs to regenerate itself when you are outside. So remember, you should take advantage of the sun when possible and no one is telling you to stay inside, but enjoying the summer is a matter of good choices. Keep moderation and planning in mind and your skin will stay at its best.

Summer hasn't arrived, it seems, until the sun peeks from behind the clouds and stretches its rays across the landscape.
