How to survive without an iPod

Believe it or not, it isn’t very hard in this world to survive without an iPod, or any type of portable media player. Because there was a time where we didn’t need one of these devices to function in ordinary daily life. Now many iPod owners simply enjoy their device as a companion to their daily lives, and this is really what an iPod should be used for because it isn’t meant for you to revolve your whole life around it. When considering adding an iPod to your life, it is crucially important that you note what exactly you wish to get out of this device.

Many iPod owners are only interested in storing thousands of songs, and while this is a great goal to have, the sheer cost of the iPod coupled with the fact that you will probably never listen to half of the songs on the iPod make it a very cost in-effective option. Many people become addicted to their iPods for various reasons, and one of the most obvious in the vanity factor. The iPod is one of the most popular devices on the planet, and it is also one of the most expensive items, so naturally many people will be jealous when they see your sporting the latest iPod model. However this is a stupid and immature reason to purchase an iPod, and if this is the only reason for purchasing an iPod then you can definitely live without the iPod.

One of the most common methods for surviving without an iPod is online radio streaming. Basically it is possible to stream every type of music that you could ever want right from the Internet, and you’ll never have to purchase any of the music if you just listen to it. This is a better option then real radio because it is almost commercial free, and the reception and sound are light-years better. You can also survive without an iPod but purchasing a barebones portable media player, and while this might not be as flashy, there are many portable media players that are a much better option then the iPod, and you will save a fair amount of money.

It might seem impossible for many people to survive without their iPod, but it is very possible and there are many alternative electronics that will keep you just as entertained in your quest for music and portable entertainment.
