Having a little extra money is a handy thing.  These days many people want to earn cash in fast and easy ways and are looking to the internet in hopes of doing so, but the time involved with pay to click sites and the slow development of passive income just don’t cut it.

When a person needs money right away they can’t afford to invest hours upon hours of their time in earning what often amounts to pennies per day on several sites and then wait around for thirty days to receive payment.

The fastest and easiest way for the average person to earn legitimate money right away is to find a way to provide a service and be compensated for it.  Odd jobs, deliveries, childcare are just a few examples of jobs you can do and go home with cash the very same day.  Practical skills and creative talents can also create an avenue for earning cash.

In every community there are always leaves to be raked, grass to be cut, sidewalks to be swept and so forth.  Advertising your services is as simple as putting out fliers in your neighborhood.  If you create a small flier on your computer that can fit four to a page you can save money on printing costs.

If you have a lawnmower you can start a grass cutting service.  If you are reliable and you are good with children you can start a babysitting service.  (It is also possible in some places to become certified for this.)  Often people who are elderly or disabled need sitters in their home to assist and read to them or just keep an eye on things overnight.  If you are able to stay awake all night this could be the ideal job for you.

Almost every person has the need to have a garment altered at some time or another and finding a good tailor that is also affordable is not always easy.  It can cost several dollars just to get a pair of pants hemmed at the dry cleaner and if you often have a few pair that need altering it can add up quickly.  If you like to sew you can offer basic services such as the hemming of pants and skirts for a little less than what the dry cleaner would charge.

Were you a good student?  Now is the time to convert your learning into something useful by offering tutoring services to struggling high school and college students.  Most teachers don’t have the time to give every student individual attention and often parents are busy working trying to make ends meet.  Tutoring is an excellent way to earn honest money while making a difference in your community.

There are so many things we take for granted that many people do every day or that they practice as hobbies that can potentially earn them money.  If you are creative perhaps you can offer painting or drawing classes or even music lessons.  Parents are often looking for art classes for children and adults with leisure time are often interested in learning to paint.  If you are a good enough artist or photographer perhaps you could create portraits for money.

Likewise, if you can play a musical instrument well enough you might ask an establishment in your area that does not offer live music to let you play for the customers for tips.  You may not make a lot of money initially, but it is a start.

Working from home has a definite appeal but it isn’t always that easy to do, especially if you do not live alone.  Providing a service is a good way to work for your self and it doesn’t require any of the overhead or hassles of maintaining an inventory unlike a retail business.  The best part is that you can do it part time and you usually get paid on completion of the service so you will go home with money in your pocket.
