Poetry: Good-bye, my love

by John Hayden

Created on: June 18, 2010

With lips as wet as a dewdropped rose

On that first kiss my whole world froze

Then spring awoke within my life

And summer brought my beautifull wife

My spirit shun with vibrant glee

Happiness filled my heart

For I had found my one true love

I knew straight from the very start

Friendship love and loyalty

Your special attributes

So much love you spoilt me

Your simply very cute

Alas my love the cool wind blows

To gently move the spirit

The emptiness, the void it shows

You had your full heart in it

Thank you, thank you my sweet love

For being my partner in life

Will come the day we'll meet again

In the next life.
