Poetry: Drugs

by Deny Jane Pascua

Created on: June 17, 2010

Languidly my body moves towards you,

With my smoky eyes, your aroma is seducing me.

You have me at your beckon and call,

As if there are steel chains in my neck that I can't say no.

I tried living without you by my side,

I found myself in the dark corner of my room, shivering and tired.

Sweat pouring profusely in my brows,

My heart galloping like I was in a race.

My muscles ached, my teeth chattering,

A dark cloud over me was hovering.

I  wished for that moment to end, I wished to die.

I can't bear the torment, I need to have you by my side.

I reach out to my drawer with the last ounce of my strength,

And there I found you, my lighter and my dope.

Feed me with your substance, cure me with my withdrawal.

Only you can stop this torture, please fill me to the brim.

Tomorrow when I wake up I'll try to be good again,

But I know deep inside me I will always crave for you.

Wherever I go you always taunt me,

I always see you with my classmates or my peers.

I can't hide from you, you always find me.

I am forever yours for eternity.
