All those who wish to write have never had a better time in which to showcase their talent. With the plethora of writing sites throughout the Internet, the chance for your work to be seen by publishers - and indeed the world - has never been greater. Being an unpaid on line writer holds advantages that you may never have thought about, and it is not all about money. Financial gain may come sooner or later, if you show perseverance, determination and above all a love and dedication for your craft. Eventually, your skill as a writer will shine through and you will be recognized.
However, if one is writing as an unpaid writer this could actually give you an advantage. 1] It proves without a shadow of doubt that you are dedicated to your work. 2] It proves that you are showing perseverance and a determination to get your work out there - without any thought of financial gain [for the time being anyway]. 3] It proves that your love for your writing is stronger than your love for the money that it could eventually bring in. 4] lThe struggles you go through now, as an unpaid writer, will pay dividends in the long run. By that I mean those people whose sole aim in life is to make a writer - especially a beginner writer - feel so bad about their work that they never again sit before a keyboard or pick up a pen. Those type of negative reviews do no one any good and cause more harm than good. Indeed, they stifle the creativity that was once within the writer, making a person who could be already fragile about showcasing their work, so down that they never try again.
But, of course, this is the aim of people who give negative reviews on a piece, as
