Feel my body sway to the rhythm, I glow.
Hear my laughter when I twirl, it bellows.
My feet doing staccato with the beat,
My heart thumping with adrenaline music brings to my head.
I am floating, I am soaring,
My spirits being lifted up in heaven.
The rush of being able to dance,
It's liberating, it's all consuming.
I feel like Princess Jasmine in a magic carpet ride.
Prohibited by the Sultan to go outside.
The ride can take me to places I want,
Just like dancing when I closed my eyes.
When the ride is done I feel fulfilled and renewed.
My soul felt free, and that's what dancing do to me.
Music enchants me, the rhythm slaves me.
It's awesome to feel alive and free.

Poetry: Dancing
Dance
It was only a seaside cafe,
My soul a tendril reaching out
Eagerly cleaving to the silhouette,
Standing on a table near
A Balinese Dancer
Exotic and alluring,
Each movement casts its spell,
Evoking myths and legends,
Such dramas she can tell.
Swaying
DOES HE LIKE TO DANCE
Quiet moments are elusive
Fear born of loneliness is obtrusive
In our fast paced world

Pirouette on Carousel
I penetrate the mist; what's there?
A heart with dreams immune to cares.
Behold such grace of life
On high tip toes
She stretches her leg in the air
The audience is silent
As they mesmerizingly stare
With a twist of the wrist
