Poetry: Crime

by Beat Spiccoli

Created on: June 16, 2010

Grim black pearls, parrot eyes

The kind that hypnotize

Incorporate the blues

Sad scene, scarlet lies

Oh curious moon!

Such a horrible sight

Ruthless stars are hidden

Dark clouds and blinding light

Streak the tragic night

Filled with electric ooze

She was a tornado

Tossing him around

The puddles of pink gore

The mashed tomato

Traded the pain for Glory

Perhaps she’d expected

An evil evening full of dread

Blood-soaked crimson shoes

These red-faced boos

But only for a second

Bad lady, baby bird

You ran without a word

You dared to flee your crime

Audacious and absurd

You’ll regret the end of time

But they’ll miss you by morning

After the Good Night news

Let you off with a warning

Your eyes embellished with

Mastered, bastard tears!

The aftermaths are minimal

There’s grace for the criminal

Egos only bruise

Bad news is subliminal

No one really boos
