Beginner's guide on how to use Wordpress

Wordpress is a simple and free software that allows you to create websites with a variety of different ways to do so and many many tools to improve your website or the managing of it the program is hard to overvalue for those who want to create a website for themselves or their small business.

There are two barriers to blogging, at least in most people’s mind. The first is having something to say, and there is not a lot anyone else can do to help you with this, but the truth is that I suspect everyone has something to say if they simply learn how to say it. The second half though does not have to be the barrier that it may seem, and that is the running of a website, and one of the easiest ways to move past that barrier is to use Wordpress a program that can help you make a simple and efficient website or even one that is far more complicated if you’re willing to put in some effort.

In most cases setting up wordpress for your webpage is very easy. For most major services you simply find where you say you want to use wordpress and it will set up everything automatically. If you are running it of a smaller server then the information is simple enough. This will still likely be the hardest part for many people.

Once you have wordpress you will have a password that lets you access the workings of your website. If you log in here you will see a number of options, you will also see that you actually already have a basic website, though probably not one you want to use.

The first thing to do is to choose the theme you like the best. There are a lot of wordpress themes, from simple color changes to major changes to your website. Almost all of them look good.

Once you have done this you can simple begin to blog if you so choose to but there are still plugins that you can use. These let you focus your blog even more and while they are not all compatible with every theme these allow you things like comments, image captions even ads on your site and all without having to know any HTML.

If you’re considering a blog, or even a small website then you should examine wordpress more carefully it gives you the freedom to have an original look to your site without having to know all that much about designing websites.
