Thirteen home remedies that you can use to help with cure for the Common Cold.
HOME REMEDIES for the Common Cold can prevent a prolonged period of the Cold and also that dreaded visit to the doctor,s office. It is not avoiding the doctor really but first mustering the strength to get out of bed then finding baby sitting and of course waiting for your turn and all the other factors that make this so inconvenient.
Firstly the Common cold is caused by virus/es(most common is the rhino virus) which cause inflammation of the upper respiratory tract(i.e nasal-throat area)and usually it is transmitted by droplets of secretions from another person or contaminated object.
This condition peaks in winter and the incidence is about 2-6 episodes per year per person.
There are some factors that can make one particularly susceptible to the cold virus such as stress(physical or psychological), allergic disorders (nasal-throat),smoking and "lengthy" time in contact with someone with the cold.
The difference between the flu and the common cold are basically that the common cold starts slowly and may progress usually runny nose and congestion with mild fever or no fever. However with the flu all the symptoms are exaggerated and usually no congestion but high fever and feeling very sick.
Now that you have diagnosed yourself and are sure it is nothing more than the common cold start immediately to prevent its worsening with the following remedies

3.Increase your water intake, remember you cannot substitute juice for water -need both. The fluids are neccesary since you will be losing such with runny nose, eyes and sneezing. Additionally loosens the thick secretions. Try to drink 8-10 glasses per day.
4.Use Cod liver oil -if you have never used this it will be a good time to start. This contains vitamin A and D which helps with mucous membrane (nasal and throat area are lined with mucous membranes)infections. Studies have indicated that the continuous use of cod liver oil has shown to reduce the number of infections per year. The oil may not be 'tasty' but can always use capsules.
5.Try to eat healthy during this time and with children make special effort to feed them since
