A very simple, but honest answer to this question is, unfortunately, trust your gut instinct. Women have a very, very strong sense of intuition and we naturally tune into behaviour and actions from other people - it is a second nature for us to do so. Unfortunately, this can mean that we over-analyse situations. For example, if a man tells his girlfriend he is not in the mood for sex, she will potentially blame herself, think she isn't attractive or sexually appealing and really have her self esteem knocked over for a while. In a man's head, this behaviour is completely unnecessary and un-called for, because he's only not in the mood due to a bad day at work or being very tired.

The reason I'm making this point is to demonstrate that male and female psychology is extremely different and we two sexes work in different ways. Perception of ourselves and REALISTIC perception of situations around us can mean the difference from being "paranoid" or 100% spot on. It can either be extremely difficult or extremely easy to tell if a man is cheating, but there are tricks of the trade to test and catch him out.

WHY DO MEN CHEAT?

Men cheat for different reasons. But no matter what they say, or what they make themselves believe it is NEVER the woman he is with pushing him away. Think about it, if a relationship was SO awful and there was some other woman on the scene, surely he would dump his original girlfriend and go to the new woman very quickly? Yes, of course he would. Or he would dump his girlfriend and stay single for a while. Men cheat because they want to have a steady, flourishing relationship and family with one woman who is sexy, smart, funny and wonderful (everything he dreamed of). And he wants regular sexual intercourse with another woman who may be slightly younger, more slender or just an easy target. That is all these women are. They don't have anything you don't. It is not your fault that he's strayed, it is not because your older or getting love handles or you're below satisfactory in the bedroom. It is quite simply because he is a pig. So if you test the below methods and (God forbid), you do find out he's cheating, then don't make a mistake and go back to him after he begs and says he'll never talk to HER again... Be single for a while and then go and find yourself a man who ADORES you. Because he's out there. Or maybe you know someone already interested...
