Racial inequality or oppression: Do they truly exist in today's society?

In America, minorities are treated like royalty, and while I believe that everyone should have an opportunity at what they want to do in life, it's becoming increasingly difficult as a white person to do so.

Take a look at college scholarships and grants, for example. The list for monetary gifts and loans for minorities is endless, while the Caucasian people may have less than a handful of help.

The issue of race is really fueled by the government. While minorities were treated very badly, the government has done plenty to give opportunities to those people.

I have many friends from all walks of life. And one thing seems to always be in common when I meet "different" people. Everyone just wants to chill out, make some money, pay the bills, have a couple of toys, and live peacefully. The American dream.

I'm sure there are pockets of prejudice throughout the country, but I think the children of today will make a huge difference in the treatment of human beings, seeing as how many children these days learn from a young age that, no matter what color someone is, or what nationality they are, they are still people, and have feelings, and should treat everyone equally.

The extremists need to stop making a racial issue out of every single that happens when a person of color is involved.

This is old news, and should just be put in history as a horrible way to treat people, and be done with it. Let's move on to more important issues than one that, on the outside, seems so foolish to continue with.

Let everyone has the same rights. Minorities, blacks, white, browns, greens, little people, mentally handicapped people, physically handicapped people, Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Atheists, Satanists, it does' matter.

Equality.

The tide has shifted into the favor of minorities to give them boost in society. Just look around. Notice the labels on everything these days. Read instruction manuals with 0 languages in them. Even the IRS sends out your Social Security yearly account of your status with SS, and gives the option to have the smae information translated into Spanish.

Call up your telephone company... Welcome, this is so and so phone, please press 1 for English, ha Espagnol Spanish, pusha da 2... What the hell?

We've already allowed a flood of immigrants in Massachusetts tears ago, and forced members of certain local government to take a second language class. Huh, excuse me, this is America, and here we speak English.

English.

If I went to, say, Nairobi, Kenya, to live, I would be damn sure to learn Swahili before going. I would not expect the town of Nairobi to run around and scramble to learn English,

So, why didn't we force those who enter the country to learn English first.

The social security building have signs written in Spanish all over the place in Southeastern Massachusetts.

America is a great country but is going through a deep depression at them moment. And now is NOT the time to become weak.

The terrorists can sense our disconnect. And they are ready to attack again.

They are just waiting for the right moment...
