Poetry: Experiencing terrorism

by Beat Spiccoli

Created on: June 16, 2010

Stuck in tranquilized loops
Lily-white lips whisper hope
Mantras pulse in eternal hoops

Thoughts spinning in my head
Remove this stone from Bilal
Burning sand the martyr's bed

A fungus on fresh bread begun
Traitorous westernized Beoduin
Merchants for the Foreign Legion

Surging shamaal of angels bold
Revealed to us the fresh blood
of innocents bought and sold

Draw your swords!  God is great!
Oh you, peasants, pure of heart!
Hurry to salvation, free of hate!
