I hope for happiness beyond this life
One God to free me from inner strife
Leave behind a sad, corrupt world rife
With sorrow and pain and inequality
Criminalizes insanity and poverty
Loading up the longest, darkest line
Seems I finally made up my mind
Made my decision, left my life behind
Left my hard luck at your back gate
Hope I didn't throw it away too late
I'm easy and wait for the cooler place
The calmness of an alabaster face
Made my decision, to arms I'll race
Within your loving mercy I'll luxuriate
Can't miss this critical, desperate date
Sacrifice myself for the Holiest today
Scourge my body is the debt I pay
Now in a meditation, I slowly lay
Myself down, praying to soon rise
See the new dawn with clearest eyes
The tunnel of love closes in on me
An elevator filled with my family
Neurotic, psychotic with religiosity
Sentiments of concern they're wheezing
Yet their comfort and love is freezing
I open a box on the butcher's table
Daring to catch a glimpse of the fable
But only misguided Hope is all I'm able
To catch and hold onto - I'm not here
Now I'm there and I've lost my fear
