Watch any NBA game and you are guaranteed a few hours of some entertaining basketball. The players in the modern day era are so athletic that just waiting for "the play" is exciting in itself. While some players stand out more than others, they couldn't do it without the team and the players around them.
Phoenix has some of the most exciting basketball any team has ever showcased in the history of basketball. With their seven seconds or less shot clock, they put up many points and have many highlights throughout the course of a game. With Steve Nash running the Point and Shawn Marion and Amare Stoudemire running down court with him, anything is possible.
One player that comes to mind individually is Dwight Howard. If you haven't seen this guy play, you honestly are missing out on a great basketball player. The guy is seven feet tall and can literally jump out of the building. He can dunk on a twelve foot court if you needed some more convincing. He will dunk over, around and through anybody that gets in front of the basket, whether it is off a miss, an alley-oop, or a power dunk while posting up. Very young and very athletic, Dwight Howard without a doubt puts on a show night in and night out.
Andre Igudola is another guy who can throw it down from just about the other end of the floor. He soars through the air past defenders to slam it home and get the crowd excited. Since Iverson has left the team, he has stepped up offensively and now is being used as an offense threat to put points on the board and win games. With an outside shot and his handles, he spread the floor for himself and can get to the rim with ease for the poster.
An underrated player is Luke Walton. Any fan of old school roundball will love his play and his IQ for the game. With passing skills rare in today's game, he truly makes passing fun. Whether it is to Kobe for the slam or around the back into the paint, he finds a way to get the open man the ball with such finesse. He has been a key part to the Lakers success and is a fan favorite in Los Angeles.
If he wasn't playing basketball, he'd probably be a comedian. Gilbert Arenas is funny and can flat out ball. He can score, defend, win the game, put up points, whatever you need he can do it. Heck, he'll even imitate the mascots and dunk off the trampolines during a timeout. He knows when his shot is going in the basket. Did you see the game winner he had? Gilbert wasn't even looking at the basket by the time the shot fell, he was turned around with his hands in the air, knowing the game was won.
Last, but certainly not least, Kobe Bryant. He doesn't really need an explanation. In the highlight of the Toronto Raptors season, he scored 81 points in a single game, in what seemed like a effortless night. Probably the first time in NBA history, he outscored the Dallas Mavericks through three quarters scoring 62 points. He has some of the best dunks of all-time and has put more players on a poster than the companies that make them. He can make the ball from anywhere and can catch fire in an instant. The game-winners he makes are amazing and leave fans cheering after moments of nervousness. One of the most exciting players ever, don't ever sleep on a game with Kobe Bryant in it, for it might be the night when he does the unthinkable.
