As a person who is approaching the magic Four 0, being given a bottle of CK One for a birthday or Christmas present is really a good thing for me as this is actually something that I use quite often, whether it is a night out or just to feel a little fresher when getting ready for work. As with anything the feeling that I get when I apply a little in my hands than apply to the side of my face and neck does tend to wake me up further in the morning, especially after I've showered and shaved! So I tend to leave the house suited, booted and smelling fresh as well.

I first discovered this a few years ago and was looking for a present for my other half for Christmas and the nice lady at the counter in Allders in Croydon advised me about CK One and up till then I had always used Kouros as my preferred fragrance as I found it appealing. I used the paper strip to smell a sample and was taken aback at how nice it actually was, from that moment I bought two bottles, the other one for me!

Even though this is a unisex fragrance, when I use it its more aftershave than anything else, I do tend to think that it is weighted towards the male more than the female. The reason I say this is because the fragrance itself is easily defined as masculine and without going into a deliberation that makes it sound like a bottle of French wine it does genuinely remind me of certain things. What I call "the impact of the liquid" is something that always tends to take to me by surprise; this is a fresh slightly minty smell without being overpowering at all in a clinical or medical way. Its safe to say that the waft of the smell that you receive is sharp and again signifies a clean balance, the initial sting when I apply after shaving soon goes away and leaves a pleasant and very attractive if slightly musky odour that a user can easily identify as this being part of the Calvin Klein range.  Knowing that the bottle contains a combination of Papaya and Pineapple as well as a hearty base mix of Jasmine does make the nasal buds jump into action in the same way that Lemon Sherbert has an effect on my tongue and I think that helps with the product as it manages to get noticed for the right reasons.  A good example was last summer when I was on a morning train going into Central London, as normal the train was packed and people were standing so close that you could feel the heart beat of the person next to you, the person I was standing next to asked if that was CK One was wearing,
