The size of the universe

The size of the universe question is one of multiple paradoxes. This is what can cook your brain trying to figure out. Is space limitless? It probably is. However, there IS a finite amount of matter IN the universe. So essentially, there is likely to be expanses of space containing no stars or astronomical bodies or anomalies. The amount of empty space probably is infinite, since the definition of nothing, could be said as infinitely less than something.

If you take everything, every bit of matter and energy out of the universe, what is left? Space. Try to imagine the existence of nothing! It is hard to contemplate.

If space were contained in some sort of sphere or had some sort of boundaries, walls or something, how long do you travel in one direction before you are back where you started? On earth, if you keep traveling north, pretty soon you are at the north pole. What if I tell you to go South from there. Any direction you go, is South! If you keep traveling in a straight line, you will eventually reach your starting point once you have been around the world. Is space this way? I don't think so.

The size of the universe is immense, there are enough stars in the sky that each person on earth could have something like 175,000,000,000 stars to themselves! I forget the exact number, but it is around this estimate! Millions, or billions, who cares, there are 6 Billion people on earth, if each one can have 175,000,000 or 175,000,000,000 stars to themselves, WE ARE IN NO DANGER OF HITTING THE EDGE OF THE UNIVERSE!

Space is infinite, yet the amount of matter and energy by nature has to be!
