Monsters, demons, magic, gods, fairies – the massively multiplayer online role-playing game Aika is full of lore involving magical creatures, good guys and bad guys. Choose your own adventure. Jump in and decide if you want to be a peaceful player, helping your fellow nation residents, or a no-mercy player, shunning the idea of helping anyone. Along the way you may make some friends, you’ll definitely kill some monsters, and you might collect enough in-game gold to buy yourself all the best gear and enchants. Who knows? You might end up in a guild that allows you to get to the top of the PvP chain and you could end up ruling an entire nation. Best of all, you can play for free. Aika doesn’t charge any fees.
Getting Started
Go to the Aika website. Create a free account and download the game. Downloading may take a while. After the game finishes downloading, click “Start” on the game’s browser. Log in with your new account name and password.
Select a world. Select one of the five nations. Ostyrion and Vanov all have separate characteristics. If you’re an easygoing and friendly player, you may want to choose Lenaria. If your gameplay style is more predatory and vicious, Ostyrion is definitely the nation for you. Those two nations are at opposite ends of the spectrum. The others lie somewhere in between.
Select a channel – either PvP or PvE. Player-versus-player allows killing of players in normal world. Player-versus-environment protects low-level characters from being killed by blood-thirsty high-levels. You can however flag yourself for PvP when you are in a PvE channel.
Click “Create” to design your character. You can be a rifleman, cleric, warlock, warrior, paladin or dual gunner. Riflemen are adept at shooting targets from far away. Clerics can heal and cast magic spells. Warlocks do magic damage through casts and area of effect attacks. Warriors are strong close-range killers. Paladins carry shields and act as tanks. Dual gunners are full of tricks, such as stuns and roots, that aid in killing their opponents. If you aren’t sure which class you want to play, you can create up to three characters per account. Give three different classes a try before deciding on the one you like.
Customize your character’s hairstyle, hair color and facial features. Give your character a name. Choose a name that you like, one you want to be known as in-game. Stay away from numbers, special characters
