Recently, a poll was taken in New Jersey, which asked: “Is President Barrack Obama the predicted “Antichrist” found in the scriptures?” Interestingly, more than 20 percent of the general electorate being polled voted, either: “Yes” or “Not Sure.” Meanwhile, for those branding themselves “Politically Conservative,” the total was at 35 percent. For many of us, these are some [literally] staggering figures!

However, the implications of this poll are even more significant than these particular numbers actually imply. For instance, in order to make this leap of faith, the Average American Voter must assume that we are now factually living in “The Time Of The End.” Another poll - having been conducted - placed this figure at a whopping 56 percent of all Americans. Far from being a loony fringe, this is the [factual] majority of all Americans. Obviously, they are basing these beliefs on something….

To get to the bottom of this, there are numerous references in the scriptures regarding “The End Times” to actually consider. The Revelation of Jesus Christ to John on the island of Patmos is merely one of many – which speak of this time. The Old Testament Prophets: Enoch, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Malachi, Zechariah, and Hagai all have written verse regarding it. Moreover, Jesus Himself spoke of it in His daily discussions – while walking upon the Earth.

Let us, therefore, consider some of these passages and consider their apparent applications today. Bear in mind, that these things must also occur in a prophetically given [or foreordained] timetable and sequence. Here they are:

* Daniel 12:4, says: “But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until The Time Of The End; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall greatly increase.”

One cannot argue that, the Twentieth Century does not fit this factual and referential starting point. Knowledge has increase faster - since 1900 – than at any point in our collective human history. Thanks to all of this new technology, our knowledge of the world around us is now doubling every two years. In fact, college graduates are already outdated upon their own day of graduation. Such alarming concepts are simply amazing to many of us.

* Mathew 24:6-8, says: ”And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is
