Poetry: My true love

Ethereal Trail

Out of the ether you appear
like a ghostly apparition to haunt my desires.

I surrender to the night and enter into your realm;
A land where you are my queen
and my longing for you is quenched, if but briefly.

Memories thick with passion drip into my hollow veins
and soothe my corporeal form,
permitting me to drift the desolate trail
hidden from your love;
barren of your touch.
