Poetry: The youngest child

Created on: June 13, 2010   Last Updated: June 14, 2010

You are the fourth and last in our family.

All eyes are on you.

You have brothers and sisters to guide you.

Here is a piece of wisdom from your dad.

You were born from a hardworking family.

May you copy this spirit of hard work.

A man must not sleep all day.

A man must earn an earnest dollar.

A man must not smack his wife,

It is cowardice.

Don't be complacent in life.

Work hard and play hard.

Being the last born is not a token of laziness.

I worked for the life you are enjoying now.

You have to work hard for your life.

Being a last born does not make you last in thinking.

It is just a birth rank.

You can climb , Mount Everest.

You can sail the Atlantic ocean alone.

Where there is a will there is always a way.

Try , try again,

If you don't succeed try again.

My youngest child you are larger than life.

Take on the challenge head on,

Whilst I'm still able to groom you.

You can climb Mount Everest solo.

Its all yours,darling.
