Charlie didn't budge when the door to his room opened and closed. He can hear footsteps, whisperings and then nothing. He can see the shadows hovering over him, three or maybe four, three muscled men, biceps are showing and a petite big-busted brunette in a tight-fitting black leotards who had something in her hand. He looked at them with no interest, his eyes focused on the clear plastic cylinder that the woman was carrying. He knows why they are here, they were here for him. He has been kidnapped for god-knows how long. He had been shackled in a small dark room for a week now, his parents were looking for him and collaborating with the police but no one knew where they took him. One of the muscled men in a white shirt named Bruno flicked open the light. It hurt Charlie's eyes momentarily. They could see he was drenched in sweat, eyes bloodshot, he reeked of dirt and piss mixed together. " I see you're awake now, boy", he said it with a leer on his face. Bruno is the head of sex-trafficking business in the United States. He and his comrades were retired navy who were not fully compensated with the stint they did in Aghanistan. For them the government cheated them of what they deserved, a good retirement pension plan. The woman was just a bonus, a bimbo they met in one of the cheesy bars who was willing to take part of the lucrative business and as greedy as they are to make a profit of poor innocent young boys and girls.
Their major patrons are in Thailand. Big businessmen and politicians who lusted after innocent blood. If the media will get hold of their names, global panic will result. That's why Bruno and his men were so careful to avoid detection. By day they are just construction workers, seem harmless to the society. No one knows their true intent, that is to spy on neighboring schools and playgrounds for poor souls that they can trade for money and gold.
Charlie was one of those poor souls, a 16 year old kid, a dean's lister, an A+ student. His parents both work in the governent. His dad worked as an adviser to the president, his mom, the secretary of a well-known senator. The reason Bruno chose him is because he felt Charlie is sort of the payback for all the unfair treatment and injustices they experienced from the governement.
Charlie had been drugged from the first time he was brought in by his kidnappers. The drug was the only way to silence him, to make him submissive. He never thought he will be in this hell, this hole. Everytime they injected that yellow stuff in his arm he goes into spasms. He would cry, kick and beg for them to stop but his pleas fell on deaf ears. He couldn't tell from day or night, he remained curled up in a fetal position for long that sometimes stretching his body feels like his muscles are on fire like pins and needles being lashed out on his frail body. He knows what this men are up to, he read about them in the internet, the bad things they do to kids of his age. Somehow in his young mind he can see the horror of what they are about to do with him. Poor Charlie lost in this nightmare. He will not see his parents again and he knows that.
Charlie closed his eyes and resigned himself to the effect of the drug. He felt his lithe body floating, his head feeling the rush. He wished to die and not wake up anymore, prayed that this is a bad dream that will go away. But his deeper psyche knows that he couldn't escape this one. He will be bound in this eternal damnation for all eternity.
