Walking around is the best way to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Las Vegas Vegas Strip; however, there may be instances requiring more convenient and faster travel times which don't necessarily require cars or cabs, especially if considering the time to allot for traffic and/or parking.
Shoppers with lots of bags to bring to their hotels which may be at the opposite end of the Strip can easily ride the monorail and get to their hotels in a breeze. It only takes 15 minutes from one end of the monorail to the other.
The Las Vegas Monorail serves the whole stretch of the Las Vegas Strip. It is an accessible and affordable mode of transportation in this bustling tourist area.
The Las Vegas Monorail is open from Mondays to Thursdays, 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m., and Fridays to Sundays, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. Trains arrive every 4 to 12 minutes.
As of June 2010, it takes as little as $5 for tourists to ride the monorail. Interestingly, locals can buy a monorail ticket for only $1 per ride. There is also an available One-day Pass for $14 and a Three-day Pass for $30.
The Las Vegas Monorail lets you connect with the city's world-class hotels, casinos, restaurants, shops, shows, clubs, bars, and other destinations in a safe, comfortable, and state-of-the art environment. There's no reason to be stuck in traffic, wait in line, or pile on buses.
