In the beginning of our great country, it was all good and nice for us to accept other people from countries to join in and to help make this to be the greatest country. Now, I want to ask this one question, did it work? With a one word answer that is, NO. How could anyone say that it is working when we are now saying we need new laws to cover the big mistake we made in allowing this to keep happening and giving these people more rights than the people that were born and raised here and to say nothing for the people that have worked all their lives here.
I do believe that the most important reason we have this problem is because of jobs and the pay with the benefits that Americans are known to get. Taking a closer look at it, why does anyone come into another country illegally and work? The thing that gets to me is once we allow them to be here, then they treat us like we owe them something and so many of them won't learn our language.
The pretending that they don't speak English is not working any more. I feel it is good to learn different languages to be able to speak to someone from a different country, however when you are living in someones country the least thing you can do is learn the language.
I worked for a company that I had to deal with many different types of people and I had to learn to speak their language and felt it hard to deal with sometimes when they live here and want a hand out from American companies. Some of them had the nerve to get angry with me because I couldn't understand them, some would hang up on me or say something that didn't sound nice.
Don't get me wrong there were some that could speak English and would get mad because their words were not clear and sounded as if there were a little English and some of their own language mixed together.
I do believe that if we passed a law stating if any company that hires someone who is illegal and if we don't drop the ball in keeping a check on these companies, we could stand a chance in getting a grip on this problem and it could help our economy get back in shape.
I know for a fact that the money made here doesn't stay here and we know that this takes away from our economy and causes our country to fall in a different direction than what the founders wanted when the first immigration laws were drawn up and put in place.
We have turned our heads and looked the other way and had pity on the poor of other countries so long that we have forgotten about our own poor. Listening at how some
