For those who are looking for enviromentally friendly interior house paints, look no further than Benjamin Moore's EcoSpec.

This paint is considered a no-VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) paint. VOCs produce the fumes that are harmful and can last for months after painting with normal paints. The EcoSpec paint has virtually non of these compounds, and can therefore be painted in non-ventilated space with no concerns.

The Benjamin Moore EcoSpec paint in latex paint, so it is easy to clean, and is very durable. It is available in all finishes (egg shell, semi gloss, flat, high gloss, etc.) I've painted one room in my house with it so far, and have been extremely pleased, and plan on painting the rest of the house with it.

There are only two drawbacks to the paint. They are only available with light colors (1s and 2s on the Benjamin Moore color palates), and they paint dries extremely quickly (about 2 hours for a single coat), though I actually like the rapid drying as it allowed me to do two coats back to back.

All in all, anyone who plans to paint their interior should strongly consider the EcoSpec series of paint. The cost was $29.95/gallon, which is comparable to other premium lines of paint, and there is no reason not to paint with this safer and environmentally responsible paints.
