Poetry: He said

by Anonymouse

Created on: June 12, 2010

He said there would be no tomorrow.

He said he'd rush straight out the door.

He said I'd be drowning in sorrow,

Once I'd reached his selfish core.

I heard him say we'd last forever.

I hoped he wasn't spurting lies.

I listed to him speak; my lover.

The truth, clear in his black eyes.
