He said there would be no tomorrow.
He said he'd rush straight out the door.
He said I'd be drowning in sorrow,
Once I'd reached his selfish core.
I heard him say we'd last forever.
I hoped he wasn't spurting lies.
I listed to him speak; my lover.
The truth, clear in his black eyes.
