If Jesus were to be physically seen on earth today as a touchable human being I don’t believe he would have anything to do with either party besides the obvious. He would try to make both the democrats and the republicans see where things could be done in a Godly way.
Jesus still walks among us and if we take the time to listen to him we will see that there is no perfect being on this planet. He is the only one with that distinction. We are all flawed in various ways, no matter what political party we affiliate ourselves with.
When we listen to Him, politics do not matter. Jesus is very well aware of what our political leaders do, think and what their future plans are for our country and for our lives. He would probably be very sad, although not surprised, about the disagreements that go along with politics and how badly they hurt people and affect relationships.
One thing is for sure, the things in our government that we do not see, He does. He sits at the right hand of our Father and neither democrats nor republicans can hide their agendas. This is one of the beauties of God. He knows it all and protects us, guides us, disciplines us and speaks words of wisdom that only He can give.
When He walked with the disciples He spoke truth and provided direction not only for those in governments, but for those whom they govern as well. One of the things he instructed us to do is to obey our government for God has placed them in authority over us. With that authority comes a great responsibility. The republicans and democrats in authority over us will one day have to answer for all of their actions right along with the rest of us.
Obeying our government is not to say that we are not to change things if we see that it is wrong. If our leaders are leading us down the wrong path then we are to change it. This is one of the beauties of free will. In the United States we have the choice to determine who our leaders are and who we align ourselves with. We can choose to be republican or democrat but Jesus loves all.
Jesus rules with love and has much compassion for us. In the end it is not going to matter what political affiliation we are. At that time we will all bow down and worship him and all of the “earthly” matters simply will not matter.
