We are all students of life

and the lessons are hard to learn,

but despite the turmoil and strife

for peace we all desperately yearn.

From the moment of birth we grow

and through chilhood is innocence pure,

but as adults the more that we know

takes us far from Heaven's allure.

So run the straight race for your God

and do the right thing to other people,

for you've only a short time to nod

and bow your head neath the steeple .

So soldiers of Christ arise and be good

for he was the professor of life,

take note of his statements of positive food

that will make peace and not cause strife.
