As the NFL teams prepare for the draft the question here at hand is, are cold weather teams at a disadvantage when it comes to the Super Bowl. The answer is, no, no, no.

Can we look back at some of the recent Super Bowl Champions that played in a cold climate. New England, three out of four years, unbelievable. Did anyone forget about John Elway and The Denver Broncos?

I know that we have had our "Dome Teams" win some of the big games too. But two out of the last eleven is not a major issue to teams that play in the cold weather. With Tampa Bay being the only outdoor team that plays in the warm weather, with at least 50% of their games being in a warm climate to win the the big game in between that time, that seems to be the issue not the other way around.

Since Super Bowl XXXI, eight of the eleven teams to have won the big game have been cold weather teams. With eight Super bowls won by cold weather teams, that is total domination. It could be that they play a little bit harder than other teams in the NFL because their playing/practice environments make them take a little more punishment than some of these other teams.

I am not saying that all the Dome teams or teams in the South or West Coast are not true athletes. My point is that these teams that train in a rough environment due to the cold weather may make them have a more of a hunger to win becuase of that.

Let's be real here, practicing with in 80 degrees and sunny skies is kind of like being pampered. You get spoiled, take the climate for granted and, when it comes down to the wire, you are as hungry as these other teams that have suffered the week before in 30 degree hell holes with 20-30 mile per hour winds that would probally just make me want it more.

I know Chicago got blown out a few weeks back by the Colts, but the over all picture is cold weather teams have just taken over. Don't think that Indi will start a new trend; I do not see that happening as I look into my crystal ball. I just think the days of the 49ers,Cowboys are what they are, the past.

Even when those teams were punching out the big game wins you still had teams like Washington, N.Y. Giants and the Chicago winning in between there.

But look on the bright side, all those warm weather teams can still at least win their conference because their chances of winning the Super Bowl sure look far out reach.
