When it comes to music and rock and roll there is one king who will never in anyone's lifetime be dethroned and that's Elvis Presley. The king lives on.   There has never been anyone in history who made such a dynamic impact on the music world as Elvis.

Elvis Presley became a household name and a living legend of rock and roll and the legacy continues on today, even with his untimely death the world still holds him up as the one and only king.

Elvis had a gift, his voice was unforgettable and not matched to this day. With his rugged good looks and tight jeans he set the music world on fire. Boys and men envied him and tried to look and dress like him while the girls and women screamed and fainted at the mere sound of his voice or sight of him rotating his pelvis. Elvis early on was given the name Elvis the pelvis and this shook not only his pelvis but shook the conservative Christian society and the older generation off their very foundations.

Elvis was a major success and his albums skyrocketed to the top of the charts. Stores couldn't keep his records or albums on the shelf fast enough to keep the demanding public satisfied.  Elvis songs played on car radios, at drive in restaurants and in the back seats at the drive in theaters.

The world now not only had a king they had an idol and someone for young people to look up to. Elvis traded in his jet black hair and that bang that always seemed to come across his eye for a military style brush cut and enlisted into the United States Army and served his country. This was a major move in his life and career, who could not love him after this? And the critics soon came around to accepting his songs and rotating hip and pelvis.

The Softer Side of The King. We all have heard about the parties and how Elvis would shoot his guns off in the house, but there's another side to this legend. Elvis loved his mother with all his heart. She was his world and his inspiration. Elvis also loved gospel music and put out some of the most beautiful gospel songs ever heard like I caught you crying in the chapel. Elvis was devastated when his mother passed away and just never seemed the same afterwards.

The Karate King. Elvis had a passion for karate. Elvis trained in American Kenpo under the legendary Grand Master Ed Parker. Elvis also trained in Memphis Tennessee under Grand Master Kang Rhee.  Elvis was a high ranking black belt in karate
